10 Web Sites You Should Know (in no particular order)

1. The Urban Dictionary
- Any slang term will find its way onto this site, to the point where you can subscribe to their "word of the day" e-mail list.

2. The Internet Movie Database
- Generally referred to as IMDB, this site has everything related to every TV show and movie that ever existed, and people end up wasting hours here.

3. Pandora
- On this site you can create your own custom-built radio stations based on your musical preferences, where you can even tell the program whether you did or did not like the song chosen. I can't stress enough how cool this site is.

4. TV Links
- Here you can view almost any TV show you could ever imagine in streaming media form, which for a broadband connection means almost immediately after clicking the link. You may need Firefox and their DIVX add-on for this, but it's fairly easy to figure out. They also have a movies section with fairly new titles, though some of the more recent movies are videocamera jobs.

5. The Best Page In the Universe.
- A genius named Maddox runs this site, in which he rants about practically any topic you can imagine. This is some of the funniest stuff I've ever read, but then again nothing really offends me. The main page reads: "This page is about me and why everything I like is great. If you disagree with anything you find on this page, you are wrong." He also ended up publishing his own book called The Alphabet of Manliness which is practically self-explanatory.

6. LetsSingIt
- Find any song information by having either the song title, band name, album or a part of the lyrics. It's great for people who love expressing themselves in their AIM profiles and facebook quotes through the art of song.

7. Fazed
- This is my home page, and it works a lot like my page does, listing links and explanations for why they are interesting. Very simple, very classy.

8. YouTube Downloader
- For those of you who want to keep videos from YouTube permanently on your computer, this site does it, requiring only the URL of the video.

9. DeviantART
-I use this website for most of the wallpapers to my computer. There are really some badass pictures in here that will spruce up any desktop.

10. Tucker Max
- Possibly one of the coolest people on Earth, this guy has some of the greatest stories ever told. Read even one of "the classics" and you are guaranteed to be hooked. This guy got so popular through his site that he ended up publishing a New York Times Bestseller called I Hope they Serve Beer In Hell. That book can be found in the magazine rack next to my toilet, so I wouldn't bother trying to borrow it.

the painting was a gift, todd. i'm taking it with me.

Tonight CBS premieres its new pirate-related reality program, justifiably called Pirate Master. It looks like Survivor with more douche bags, so clearly I'm in. Set the DVR for adventure.

I think the marketing directors for Shrek the Third can take a break now. Every other commercial I've seen this week has featured some sort of Dreamworks animation. Shrek has been featured so far in commercials for:
McDonald's
M&M's
Sierra Mist
Dodge
XBOX's Shrek 3 the Game

That can't be anymore than half of them. Let me know what I'm missing.

Also, looks like Billy Donovan is gone, for the price of $27.5 million to the Orlando Magic. Ouch.

sadness is for poor people

Found the apparently "real" audio captured from Neil Armstrong when he first landed on the moon. Instead of attaching the link I decided to see if I could embed the file myself. Lemme know if it's not working.

Also, here's a few more reasons to see Transformers on Independence Day:

random hot girl, Shia LaBoeuf

guns, Tyrese, the guy from Las Vegas

robots fighting each other

'Nuff said.

good toss by the submissive out there!

Don't be fooled by the emo introduction and the less-than-perfect song choice, this is actually a pretty cool video of a girl playing her violin to hip-hop. I think it should be integrated into more songs. Hip-Hop Violin

Also, I cannot stress enough how excited I am for July 4th, when I can celebrate my country's independence alongside giant robots that transform into vehicles. If you don't understand how amazing this movie will be, download their extended HD trailers here and watch it for yourself...just make sure to bring a paper towel. Hell, I'll even post the non-HD extended trailer for those of you as lazy as me.

By the way, Microsoft has produced a new set of hardware and software called Surface that is absolutely ridiculous. For anyone who's seen the touchscreen computers in Minority Report, it's oddly similar. You have to see it for yourself.

Finally, for anyone who uses Google Maps as much as I do, they will find this pretty cool. It's a new option established in 5 cities called Street View that gives you a 360 degree view of pretty much any street you want. Vegas, here I come.

have you met tyler perry?

So that guy Tyler Perry was apparently allowed to make a sitcom called House of Payne...yawn. His immense popularity among the urban population makes me feel especially white since I couldn't name anything he's done besides Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Either way, the shows I'm excited for can be found on FX this summer, including Rescue Me which comes back June 13th and It's Always Sunny in Philadephia which triumphantly returns on June 29th. Finally, I have a reason to live. Also, for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, On the Lot is well worth catching a glimpse.

I was stumbling today and ran across a cool link for firefox users with a ton of great ways to trick out your browser (including speeding up your broadband). Feel free to check it out here.

On a ridiculously hilarious note, a police officer from Dearborn, Michigan who had been using confiscated marijuana to bake brownies made a 911 call when he thought he and his wife had overdosed...on weed. Even the news anchor can't keep her composure for this one.
Editor's note: I randomly found another story about this the next day and as it turns out, neither he nor his wife ended up being charged, despite being absolute morons.

anybody can get past a dog, but nobody fucks with a lion

Thought I'd post a little treat- this is a deleted scene from the new movie "Knocked Up", which I plan to see soon.

i finished, and then i stole the dog

Anyone who is reading this blog is either a reader of my AIM profile or a facebook stalker (I don't assume that my fan base will grow any time soon). Assuming these people have read either of my profiles, they know that I tend to keep tedious lists. Well, no more. I'm passing these lists onto the archives of this page, where it can be kept for all time. Enjoy the crap that was in my AIM profile this week:

donny, you're out of your element

So, I've just discovered the greatest little show ever. Few of you probably have the channel Fuse, but for those of you who do, it's well worth it. Music practically all day, like MTV in the days of yore, and a little known sketch comedy show called The Whitest Kids U'Know. I've decided to share four of the videos that I found especially wonderful. Some you may have seen already while YouTube surfing, and some will leave you either laughing hysterically or violently offended. Doesn't really make a difference to me.
